well that makes it all sound alot better for nintendo. just "loss making console" makes it sound bad lol.

Iwonder if that means the pro consoles are sold at a profit. Ince they already have a game packed in. If not that'd basically make basic model profitable from day one because its not like you'd buy a new console and not get any games for it.

I suspect they are much less of a loss, they cost £50 more, and have maybe £5 worth of extra on-board storage,

Given how well first party titles sell on Nintendo hardware I'm sure they'll be making a profit on virtually every machine sold.

I thought selling an initial product for a loss was generally how things are sold these days. Like printers, sell 'em cheap knowing that the ink cartridges will reap in the money.
