Hitman Absolution: PS3 vs. 360 gameplay comparison video

Yeah the parallax scrolling is definitely superior on the Xbox version. Glad I picked that up.
Do you want Chilli on that?

Banjaxed:
..a term often used to describe incredible drunkeness. normally used in retrospect however in some prolonged cases of intoxication subjects have been found to admit to being "banjaxed."

Why is everything on the PS3 so f**king washed out? And no, lowering brightness isn't a solution as it's colour levels that are the problem. Was the same on the PS2, used to p**s me off.

Because some televisions work better with the RGB full range option on the PS3 set to limited, some it's better on full. If it's set to limited and the tv doesn't output it then it looks washed out.

This is a proper in-depth comparison:

Most importantly though, both versions play just as well as each other, so we can easily recommend the game to both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners alike. However, on a purely visual level, we'd be inclined to give the PS3 game the nod here if you have the choice.

No matter what I did Skillage the Playstation versions of games always seem to come more washed out than the Xbox versions.

The xbox version tells you you were adopted then consumes any frubes you might have had in the fridge.
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

So thats where they've been going then? Does it also consume fruit corners cause they've been going missing as well, though not the crunch corners?

What I meant to add to my last message (yes fruit corners are known favourites of the xbox version, but they use straws, hence no crunch corners) was that the boxes in the game have more sides in the ps3 version. All 6 in fact. The xbox versions boxes only have 3 sides so a lot less edges.

Corners too, xbox hitman is pretty devoid of those.

Just a contrast and saturation setting, any tv and be adjusted to fix that. My guess is that his tv settings for his xbox input may have a different profile than the ps3's input.

your right its not brightness change for a solution its contrast and saturation settings any tv can adjust this.

Pace .... the point is - same game, same TV : Xbox = colourful, PS3 = washed out colours. To get the same level of colour on the PS3 version you'd have to make everything else look like neon.

that's not what they said at all.

they said that ps3 has a form of aa that deals with aliasing better, but at expense of sharpness of picture and also has some sub pixel crawling as it uses mlaa , as opposed to fxaa.
In it's favour, it had less strong bloom effect, and and sharper cut scenes with better textures used in cut scenes.

frame rates were pretty much dead tie, whilst in gameplay the 360 seemed to have some better textures and less blur on things like foliage owing to the type of AA used.

they gave slight edge to ps3 overall for visuals
