How long before the Wii-U gets custom firmware. This is not a good start.
I know this ins't too major (unless your account gets deleted) but the ease at which this guy got in is a little unsettling.

Good on him for coming clean about it though. Firstly, he will have helped old big N, by identifying the issue , and secondly, he did report it. If he had'nt then that would have been a problem for all concerned.
It even looks like from the picture, the admins have there own IRQ Address. Just using the pictures, you could still try to blag your way on, and get access to the admin console that way now.

Early days for Nintendo? Or an ageing giant best put out to rest? In todays environment, online and offline, you allways have to factor in attacks. Never had this problem with the NES. (Is'nt this supposed to be the latest version of the NES? Because at the moment it looks like an iPad stuck to Wii) :!: :?: :!:

In fairness to Nintendo this was just a developer function they forgot to delete come retail launch. Sure it's embarrassing but it's hardly a hack. That word gets thrown around a lot and rarely is it an accurate description.

lol, yeah sure. then piracy would be as rife as it is on PC, then the gaming market would collapse overnight. great idea though.

It's a conspiracy theory like Elvis really being dead or landing on the moon. It never happened.

while not really a hack still worrying as the user couldve deleted accounts and for nintendo to leave the door open to that is just silly for a big launch, hopefully they beef up security dont want a sony psn hack on there hands
