Free shipping you say... well I have a "friend" who needs to ship several kilograms of "icing sugar" overseas.

And people say next gen won't offer much difference in visuals? This game looks 2 gens in front of PS3 and 360

Looks like its going to be great. I know that the 360 and PS3 will do it some justice, but i really wish they had waited for the next gen machines, so we can have it looking as good as this. There is no way thats going to happen on the 360 or PS3.

Looks more fun than the last to to me. I'm not fussed about them bringing out on PS3 and 360 either due to the fact there's no real benefit for a slightly better looking version. Crysis 2 looked good enough on consoles and so will this. Whether the gameplay holds up will have to be seen without it jumping from one big moment to the next.

Doesn't really matter though when it's a Crytek game, that lipstick on a pig saying springs to mind, all Crytek do is come up with fancier lipsticks. Set in New York.

TheLastDodo's analogy is perfect - all show and no substance.

Although I'm glad I got a second GTX680 as it looks pretty demanding.

Two 680's, that's obscene lol
Doubt you will need that for long time tbh. The unreal engine demo recently only used 1. Sli support usually is crap too anyway. My 590 ran worse than 570 with sleeping dogs, and some games still only use gpu . crytek aren't known for their optimisation skills either.
Game looks amazing though.

Didn't enjoy crysis 2 first time around, but replaying it and is lot better than most fps games.

Whoever assumed next gen consoles will look this good, might be bit disappointed IMO.

I needed the extra grunt to run 3x 1080p monitors ;)

Same.

MaldoHD 3.0 + BlackFire 2 Mod helped.

Gotcha, didn't even think about multiple monitors when I read your post tbh., as I only play on one monitor at 1080p.

Mate runs games at obscene resolutions on his 27.inch monitor.
I
I'll have to look.into those mods, think I've come across first one, but seemed to cause havoc with certain special effects from what I saw.

I think when next gen really arrives, we'll see much better optimised games.heard that most dx 11 games aren't really dx11, they just tack on over top the effects, thus the games don't run particularly well

The Blackfire mod not only adds new effects, but it allows you to remove some of the built-in effects that you couldn't before.

Crytek need to ditch their 'graphics mean everything' mentality. Sure the game looks pretty, but what exactly makes it unique in terms of gameplay?

All i've seen so far looks to be very basic FPS content. The fact it's also set in a destroyed Manhattan doesn't help shake the generic look either, if anything it looks lazy.
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).
