Terrific choice. Film will probably be smeg though.

Why do I have a feeling this new Splinter Cell will take inspiration from the newer action games?

Amazing actor, but doesn't have sam fishers face i must admit. But if he acts good enough then we shouldn't care how he looks

The film doesn't have to be about the game... I can see it being a pretty decent franchise in itself like James Bond for instance! Tom Hardy will play a good Sam Fisher thou!

If it was made like older 90s Tom Clancy movies it could be great and fit right in with the original series theme. If it wasn't for a very talented actor like Hardy showing such an interest, I wouldn't even be paying attention to this headline for a video game to movie adaptation.

It's probably a good sign for future game based films that actors like Hardy and Fassbender are getting involved. They might start hitting the heights of comic book films.

Well hopefully the film will be good then. Tom Hardy is my favourite actor along with Patrick Stewart, both were about the only redeeming factors in ST:Nemesis (and Brent Spiner).

Get out while you can Hardy. chances are no one will care for this but the fans like every other video game movie and you'll never satisfy them because you're not Ironside.

I like Tom Hardy but he's made some odd choices lately. His best films, he's been hand picked, maybe he should sack his agent?

you off your head? Since 2008 he has been in RocknRolla, Bronson, Thick as Thieves, The Take, Inception, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Warrior, This Means War, The Dark Knight Rises, Lawless and soon Mad Max: Fury Road. I see one s**t film (This Means War) and lets be honest, most if not all romcoms are shite
Master System, PS1, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Wii, X360, PS3, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS

Lawless isn't very good either (IMO) and studio rumors are that mad max is having to under go re-shoots.

Four of those films he was cherry picked for. His agent does nothing but negotiate a fee in those circumstances.
