Funnily enough, not having to pause into the menu to view the map or muck about in the inventory on Borderlands would be a bonus. I know it's not a massive game changer, but would be a definite improvement for me.
Future Plc, you bloody idiots.

This could well end up being the main game to make me buy a Wii U.

Next gen is going to be very interesting. This gen most people I know own either a 360 or a PS3 and a wii. There are very few games where you'd pick the wii version over the 360/PS3 version. But the wii always has the Nintendo games going for it.
Next gen could have 3 consoles all with the same game running on them. Which do you pick?
Unless the NextBox/PS4 end up being significantly more powerful that Wii-u, in which case, we'd be in a same state as this gen.

^ It's more likely that the PS360 and WiiU will have the same version - except that the Wii U will have added GamePad features and possibly more polished textures due to the bigger RAM. The PS4 & X720 will have their separate "enhanced edition" with significantly upgraded and overhauled visuals.

Looking forward to this game on PC. Nintendo Wii U version should be cool alright with the motion tracker.

Hopefully this game will not only be good but look good. I remember playing AvP on the 360. It looked so crap it was hard to look at, by comparison the PC version maxed was and still is a treat to look at.

Pity it's not until 2013.

It's certainly looking tasty. I still have painful thoughts of paying over sixty quid for Rebellion's AvP on the Atari Jaguar...a memory that still haunts me to this day.

Lol join the club! I remember driving up to Birmingham to pick up a US import Atari Jaguar and paying over £400 for the console alone! I then spent an additional £100 for Tempest 2000 & AVP.

Looking back Tempest 2000 was a fantastic purchase with its techno soundtrack but AVP really hasn't aged that well.................

I bought The Jaguar to with AVP and Tempest 2000.
I also bought the cd add on which looked like a toilet.
Wasn't it nicknamed 'the crapper?'
How apt!
If they mess this game up for the WiiU then there should be no forgiveness.
A real tracker in your hands?
How can it fail?

I have seen Wii U footage that clearly shows the game being played with the new gamepad and the motion tracker was still on the main TV screen.
I don't know if it was a scripted section where the player swaps between screen obscuring motion tracker and then upon a s**t yourself moment flip to full screen gun mode!
My point however is that the motion tracker was not on the pad for this section.
Whether that is how the full finished game plays we will find out next year.

Wii U limited edition is the same as the ps3/360 ltd ed, a few unlock codes.
The collectors edition is the one with the power loader figurine and not available on U.

This week I will be mainly going 'clear' and fighting aliens.
