Ninja Theory's radical reboot shows style, substance and swagger

'Demons aren't scary and Dante as we knew him just wasn't cool anymore,' Ninja Theory's creative director Tameem Antonaides tells us - in a more roundabout way. And he's right on both counts.... read more

"This could be both the best game Ninja Theory has made, and the best Devil May Cry Capcom has produced."

Ninja Theory maybe, best Devil May Cry? I doubt it. Still I'll give this game a chance and I'll try and not compare it to the other Devil May Cry games to much.

I'm a HUGE Devil May Cry fan, and I really liked it. You might be surprised.

Why do I always get this image when I think of devil may cry?

Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

Is it because Satan is supposed to have the best music. yet he has failed where the reverend Run Love is concerned?

The reason for the reboot and change of graphical style is a load of bulls**t. They could of improved the games with the old style but it is looking quite cool and the gameplay sounds true to it's roots. Day 1 purchase for me still :)

The original Dante wasnt based on an anime charactor, he was based on John Taylor from Duran Duran. [he was the basist.]

all i can say is THANK GOD. the old dante is so outdated im glad they reinvented him. dmc 1 was great but the rest were immature and honestly embarrassing to play. it was stuck in japanese anime hell.thanks ninja theory for getting rid of that style and giving him some rebellion.

Perhaps, but I will reserve judgement until i played it. DMC3 is and by far the best DMC ever made and it was no slouch in difficulty either. All I can say is Agni and Rudra were just wicked weapons to have in combos.

Totally agree, the difficulty level in DMC3 made it the best one out of the three, I still have nightmares about that bloody chess set years after finishing the game!!

Will be buying this on day one and will be getting DMC HD collection, wont play DMC2 as it was garbage.

Funny you should mention that, I just ordered DMC Collection a few minutes ago, and that's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I won't be touching 2! It's the undoubted low point of the series.
