Battlefield 3 Premium hits 2 million subscribers

Postby sibear » 30 Oct 2012, 23:26

Good to see. For 34 quid it was a great deal, even taking into account that I already had Back To Karkand. Armoured Kill is especially good.

Don't particularly care for this but have you seen the total sales of BF3 so far?

Frickin' incredible numbers

I haven't Dodo but judging by the number of weeks it's been in the top 10 of the charts it must be very high. Do you have any figures by chance?

Bought it day 1 - couldnt get on the servers as they were all down. Played it for a few months, then the rent-a-server issue came up and I found myself being booted for killing hosts as well as paying for Karkand outright. premium was released, so essentially iwould be purchasing Karkand twice.

Got rid of it, decent enough game - but rent-a-server killed it for me. (and yes i know there were official servers also, but getting on them was like standing in a queue for a Justin Bieber book signing)

Ive stuck with the game, but like you have pointed out, the rent-a-server is really annoying. The ammount of times I have taken out a host and been kick has been unreal. And the long list of weapons that you can't use aswell, not being allowed to take out the host in his tank with a rocket launcher or use C4 is just stupid. I love the long games too, I just can't abide all the coward hosts who want cheap kills and an easy time. Great game other than that, but it has stopped me from getting Premium I must say.

I might not bother with Battlefield 4, after seeing how brilliant BF3 is on PC, I might just wait for a PS4/XB720 iteration

What an amazing game, Of all the games that came out over the past 12 months Bf3 and premium have been the most value for money. I've played hundreds of hours online and am still looking forward to the aftermath and end game map packs. They fully deserve to sell shitloads. Good job Dice and EA.

I was going to buy this a while back, but heard terrible things about the rent-a-servers.Now they've quadrupled the official servers, does it make a lot of difference? Can you get into a game alright on the Dice servers? Wouldn't mind the premium edition on 360.

Ive heard alot of people having problems with the rented servers but I play this alot and have never really had a problem! Sure I get kicked now and again if im kicking ass but all I gotta do is chose another game and im back on in a matter of seconds... its no biggy!

Its a top game and I really do enjoy it! I was in 2 minds about getting Premium but glad I did. The map packs are awesome and suit what ever mood I want to play like!

For those who had it for a week and then gave up never to return I'd pick it up and give it another go! I think to many people are too quick to judge and right something off as s**t because they cant quite grasp it at first...

Too many post like 'I played it for 30 seconds and got kicked off a server on day 1, sold it same day! Worst game ever'

idk... maybe im just a closet BF3 fan boy
