EA Sports sued over exclusivity deals

Postby SavageEvil » 17 Oct 2012, 05:59

Oh yes, this must go to court and let the competition come back to force EA to innovate more and not just sit back like fat cats being the only football simulator for all American Football, which was utter trash for the blasted NFL to even agree to. NFL should be named in the suit as well, this is such crap they also agreed that EA having the exclusive license would uphold some mythical high standard the NFL is known for...Plaxico Buress says hi.

about time this got to court, anything that wrests some of the monopoly control from EA has to benefit gamers, just imagine being able to buy an nfl game without having part of it locked behind a paywall and a load of nickel & dime dlc and imagine being able to play it online after a couple of years too.

I have a feeling EA will loose this! American courts are notoriously against anti competitive behavior!! And this is clearly anti competitive! :)

The NFL 2K series was making a name for itself and constantly outperforming the Madden series until EA got exclusivity on the NFL. The way it was going I could see the NFL 2K series overtaking Madden and been the game of choice in a similar way to how NBA 2K has dominated over the now defunct NBA Live.

What a pointless lawsuit. E.A make a b*****k-ton of money and the U.S legal system is designed to protect that.

Oooh evil EA, god forbid exclusivity deals should exist, quick somone sue Konami for their champions league exclusivity, or again EA for their Porsche deal, hell get Nike's deal with the NFL quashed, Codemasters and F1, Mario should be free for all devs to use, they are all evil, evil I tell you, won't someone please think of the innovation.......

Get a f**king grip.

There's a new bloody lawsuit reported everyday now and everyone is equally bullshit.

Well except the Zynga one, that's just the definition of irony right there.
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).
