3DS games getting digital eShop re-release

Postby me4pd » 03 Oct 2012, 20:50

I like downloads.

Space in cupboard for one time use plastic box = 0.

Space on 32GB SD card on 3DS = many.

Nevertheless.
Downloads priced higher than retailers = no sale.

It defies belief that Nintendo place a higher price on e-shop. Where is this setup they promised which allows retailers to sell download codes [at their own prices]?

Don't think I'll be taking this up if it comes to Europe. If it was significantly cheaper then maybe, but I can't really justify spending £39.99 on a digital download. At least in retail you can trade it in and recoup a decent portion of your money.

Don't quite understand Nintendo's logic on this issue so far.

Even Nintendo let you re-download in future. When (if) this mythical Nintendo Network arrives it'll be better. Not that I've ever had a Nintendo machine break anyway but your point still stands.

This. I'd like to buy some more digital games (what with that being the "environmentally conscious" thing to do), but there's no way I'm having the pleasure of owning a physical copy removed for more than a physical copy!
RIP CVG. Future can get stuffed.

Find me on GNamer or the CVG Survivors' Club.
