LucasArts admit Uncharted is a big influence...

Two bounty hunters haul a cargo crate towards a lift on the surface of Coruscant - the Projects in Star Wars 1313. There's not a lightsaber to be seen yet. As they descend further into criminal territory, the more grizzled of the two starts to goad the player character and question if he isn't too green for the criminal hotbed that awaits them.... read more

Star Wars 1313: Visually incredible - but how does it stack

Sounds to me like Mass Effect except without all the adept powers. Dunno whether that's a good thing or not.

Once you hit a certain level of realism nothing looks different

So, Uncharted, in the Star Wars universe, with people who made The Force Unleashed behind it...
...A 2 hour romp made up of nothing but set pieces, where touching passing objects is normal ( because realism, guys) and the main character will be a wisecracking arse whom I would like to beat into a pulp.
If this game doesn't use Euphoria or whatnot, I think I'll pass.

How could you want to beat up Nate? You must be one of those people who likes Ashley in RE4.

Dear LucasArts,
Quit making s**tty Star Wars games and make Battlefront 3 or a good Indiana Jones game.

The incredible animation is down to Industrial Light & Magic, the effects house George Lucas created for his space operas and pioneering CG films like The Abyss and Jurassic Park. Working in unprecedented collaboration with Lucasarts, ILM is using performance capture - a technique that involves recording both facial and body movement together with audio, and using its Hollywood heft to produce a game with movie-level sheen

The quality of the animations and modelling is excellent... but the overall look of the game so far is just too monotonically dark for me - like watching the Star Wars blu-rays but with the TV's brightness turned all the way down. It's even darker than Resi 6, which also has more varied locations and is dark in a good way. Star Wars 1313 seems to have a colour palette consisting mainly of different shades of black, brown and grey - with only the odd lighting or fire effect to break up the monotony.

The gameplay videos and the setting hint at there being many repetitive dark corridors to blast your way through. Instead of taking a cue from Rogue Squadron or Battlefront, they seem to be mixing the corridor shooting of Doom 3 with some Uncharted sections.

Yeah, on your part.

There are already thousands of mediocre Star Wars games where you can wave around your geeky little shiny laser sword.

I want to play this because its set in the Star Wars universe and DOESN'T make me pretend to be a magical wizard hitting other magical wizards with his brightly coloured neon p enis substitute.

The pretty visuals are there to disguise what looks like a generic shooter to me, well that's impression I got from the E3 gameplay videos.

Pretty much my sentiments. Remove the Star Wars licence and it looks to be pretty much any number of generic shooters.

they should have just re-made or done decent follow ups to X-Wing and/or Tie Fighter.
