Hopefully ME1 has been re-worked engine-wise, so it runs smooth like its sequels. Too much to ask for?

It's coming out as a download as well so I expect it to be re-worked like Crysis was.

At long last! PS3 owners will get to play the best one in the trilogy. It's a little rough round the edges but it's such a great game- I've completed it more times than ME 2 and 3 combined!

Surely it makes far more sense to do this on Wii U too, rather than ME3 alone? Hello?

Maybe they want people to buy ME3 for the Wii-U first, so they have to buy it again when the release the trilogy?

WTF is up with you EA seriously? I mean yeah, lets release the last in a trilogy as a launch title for Wii U AFTER the trilogy releases on 360. I'm still buying ME3 but seriously I hope you have something planned for Wii U the same day as PS3.

And yet i think ME2 sh*ts all over the first game. The first game is also a good game but i think people still hold it in wayy too high regard.

If they release the game as a stand alone retail purchase for PS3 I'll buy it again, got it for PC but the keyboard and mouse controls are f**king me over big time, can't work with them. My Xbox controller for PC just gives it the BSOD, so that's out.

1 has the best story and story progression, the worst side quests and the worst engine. It would be amazing if they've redone it for ps3 and xbox too, as I'd rebuy it then. Can't see MS giving them the keys so perhaps the ps3 release is technically a new game? Who knows, if it is just the 360 version rereleased again on 360 and for ps3 then it will just be the greatest story surrounded by a buggy mess of a game, 5 years on and that framerate is lower than ever on 360, I can't imagine a port being great unless it's redone a lot. Hopefully it all works out and ps3 players can see why xboxers hold the first game so highly.

Sovereign was a great villain too. The conversation with his projection was awesome, "You cannot even grasp the nature of our existence." Mass Effect 3 comes around and what do you know, the nature of your existence is simple.

I think there's a nostalgia factor surrounding the first game. Gameplay wise, I reckon the second was better as it was with character development. Plotwise, maybe 1 but 2 is the better game for me. I think the freshness and introduction to an awesome universe blew a lot of peoples minds. That and seemingly more freedom. Thats why it was hard to follow up. Most of the universe wasn't new in the second game so people don't like it as much.
