With just a tiny bit more research, info on the UK release could have been added. I could provide it, but I'm not paid to do it for you.

I'm disappointed the UK isn't getting the Kindle Paperwhite yet. I love Kindles...

I got bought a Kindle as a present a couple of years ago and its great. But since Amazon refuse to release the "cool" products in Europe f*!@% 'em they won't get any of my money.

Seriously you should get used to not getting paid for writing.

A pricier $499 version of the 8.9-incher will add 4G LTE network connectivity and packs 32GB of storage.

Hang on. $200 more for just a 4G antenna and 16GB more memory? That seems.. unlikely.

it didn't get exactly a great review from Gizmodo http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2012/09/kindle-fire-hd-hands-on-pretty-impressive-for-the-price/

How bad is it? It’s bad enough that when you tap an icon, you wonder if you did it wrong, if maybe you didn’t tap firmly enough. The bimodal reading, for instance, hung for nearly 10 seconds as it loaded. X-Ray took about five. None had a visual indicator that something was wrong. We’re told that we were using production models, so it’s pretty disappointing. It’s going to ship like this.

I don't know if Amazon can release anything to rival Apple. Amazon starts with an A, that's suing territory right there.
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

Do we need all these different size tablets and thingy-me-bobs?

Everyone's already got at least one kind of portable phone/camera/internet device now, haven't they?
