Another reason not to buy the game twice, when anyone that wants this game will already have completed it on their X360/PS3.

Seems the Wii U is going to be a machine of old ports :(
used to own - NES, Atari ST, Amiga 500, Mega Drive, SNK Neo Geo, SNES, Saturn, N64, PS2, GameCube, Alienware Aurora.
currently own - PS1, Xbox, Xbox360 + Kinect, Wii, PS3 + MOVE, 3DS, Games PC, Wii U.

Well they're not going to put effort into a pointless port are they now?
Currently playing: Mario Kart 8 (Wii U), Pokémon X (3DS), Wario Land 3 (GBC)
Next to play: My Girlfriend is the President (PC), Kirby's Epic Yarn (Wii), Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)

You do realize that ME3 and Arkham City Armored Edition are mainly meant for those that missed out the first time, i.e the Nintendo fans who did not have a PS3/360/PC. And I swore Nintendo Power said it would support 1080p. I think its just a mistake on the developers part and you can't expect to have all new games when a system launches. In a year or two we should start seeing original games for Wii U.

I'm a bit surprised at this, there's no reason for it I can think of.

The power shouldn't be a problem and there's a lot more RAM to play with, so really this is odd.

The system is looking weaker all the time. Wonder if it will only be 30fps, too?

It has been confirmed that Wii U can do 1080p no prob. Its likely do to time and resource constraints on EA's part. Or they could be still p**sed that Nintendo would not let them Power Nintendo Network with Origin.

the issue is greed, to make it 1080p they would need to make 1080p assets, since the assets they used were 720p they used those and saved the money creating new assets.

So EA is really just being cheap and not doing 1080p when its possible on Wii U. Wow I didn't think EA would something that low. Oh well at least other developers are actually aiming for 1080p 60 fps like Arkham City and AC3

The PC version wasn't limited to 720p so can't see how that is an issue here. Greed may indeed be a factor, but I'm thinking laziness is probably the more important factor here, it'll be easy to get a 720p port running on the Wii U but a 1080p port may have required some effort to optimise the code.

Dude do you even have a pc? Around 80% of all pc gamers run ME3 at resolutions way higher than 720p, since 19'' screens are the least you'll get unless you have a notebook, from there it only goes up, you can run it at 2500x1600 on pc

so explain why its useful to spend money that you won't earn back from upgrading the port to Wii U. the console is aimed for kids ME3 is far from it they are only doing this because Nintendo asked them its pointless for them to even port it to Wii. yes i understand at its release and for a few years after it was the number 1 selling console but think about how many people have probably sold theirs to gamestop, best buy, or online by now. it was a very popular game system and innovative at its time but its went so far from the original course of Nintendo and how amazing the Gamecube was it ended up alienating a lot of their customers and basically sent them to Sony and Microsoft (though from what I've seen on forums and people online more have seem to go to Xbox)

So you think it's ok for Wii U to consist of ports for a couple years from last gen's machines?
This would be the first time that has happened. 360/PS3/Wii all had original games at launch. If anything Wii U's games should be ported to PS4/720 as they're (supposed to be) the same generation.
Nintendo need to show that Wii U can do something that current machines cannot, otherwise whats the point. I bought the Wii on launch for Twilight Princess. I have no plans to consider a Wii U yet.

Why are you all suprised? The Wii U is amazing but the development is being handled by a company of whoms ONLY retail published game is Shift 2 on iOS. An iOS publisher jumping to Wii U? Even thought it's only a port, you can never expect too much from them.

I agree it's not a smart move, but it is getting its own exclusives. Only this time, Wii U has VERY strong, hardcore launch games. Something none of their consoles have ever had. Just be thankful that they're opening with strong games, and actually trying to appeal to a hardcore market from the beginning. It's not easy to get a hardcore strong game out in time for launch. The only time that has really happened was Uncharted: Golden Abyss for PlayStation Vita. And that was a fairly small game (in terms of play hours).
