Enjoyed that little read as it brought back some memories.
I even remember the cover.
And you were right about the 'nasty looking joypad' too!

What about some for us old folk? Think they have all been from the 90's onwards.

Give us some 80's love CVG, go on.

I remember seeing a PlayStation and a Saturn running demos side-by-side in Virgin Megastore in London, before they were officially released over here and the price tags were £499 each.

PlayStation was running Ridge Racer with the Saturn running Daytona USA. Ridge Racer convinced me that I was going to get the PlayStation when it released, despite Sony being new to the industry.

Cool. Try and find an issue showing Julian "JAZ" Rignell's Pat Sharp style hairdo's and with Paul Glancey in as well.

I'll always associate Rignall with Zzap 64 to be honest.

As years go by, games like this are always held in higher esteem than when they first came out. There were plenty of complaints when Mario Sunshine came out, but it's now regarded as one of the most original and enjoyable of Mario's outings.

Why does the Mersey run through Liverpool?

Because if it walked it would get mugged.
