Title needs to be corrected. It's not free to play, it's called "Pay to Win".

No offence to the guy and the other big names counterparts, but they'e all talking s**t, judging by results so far. Those games cost a shitload, bunk completely then the teams get laid off, and repeat. If that's success, I'm the Queen.

Sony, the direction you're heading in is worrying me. I've stood by you since your earliest days and you've rarely done me wrong. The PS1 and PS2 are my favourite consoles ever and the PSP and PS3 are somewhere in the top five. The Vita might enter that if you support it. But all this recent talk of free-to-play and Cloud gaming concerns me. It's not a place I want to see gaming go. If you go that way, I might go wholesale to the Big N. They, at least, seem to be avoiding this kind of talk.

That's normally the message you get from Sony employees

"Free to play, empty your bank account today" That seems a more appropriate slogan.

Pay to win is the ultimate expression of ripping people off

Thats more like it.

70% userbase???!! Either there are a lot of mugs out there or hes just pulled that random figure out of his backside. Plus apart from the games he mentioned I cant think of any pay to win games on either console. There are plenty of free games to play...they are called demos, although they are very short for some weird reason although they are currently the only thing on consoles that are completely free.

so what happens to all these fee to pay games once there is a new one every few weeks?, each game having no one online and no one prepared to waste money buying a winning character as in a couple of weeks there will be no one left playing it and the whole greedy edifice comes crashing down on their greedy heads.

nice one sony, way to kill off the support of a few of your remaining customers.

Yep, Pay To Wi..er, I mean "free to play" cough, cough = always online, dlc, mutliplayer, digital only and drm all wrapped up in one neat dollar/sterling signed package. No wonder they are behind it full force.
