Question:- Obviously tempered by whatever it's internal specs are, the people buying into this concept are going to be a bit more tech savvy than the average joe - theoretically the community going to be attached to this could port / emulate / getting running in some form ALL of the above titles since the whole raison d'etre and point of the console is for it to be hackable, yes?
I'm more tech savvy than the average Joe (not by a wide stretch granted) but from what I've read I still don't understand the hype regarding what the end product will be. I am impressed by the enthusiasm and entrepreneurial foundation though.
The games above I'm not really that bothered about playing- I'm looking forward to seeing some original stuff. Mix that with some classic game emulation and give me the chance to have a crack at making my own game (I can use my own artwork for it ) and I'll be as happy as a very happy man called Larry.

I'm surprised there's been no mention of past attempts at open-source gaming devices, such as the various GamePark devices. They have pretty much universally been failures; while most people who bought them, loved them, not enough people actually bought them.
