Game Freak themselves stated that they aren't moving from sprites.

And beside you do have any idea just how much data space they would need for all 649 plus the form and the attack animation?

Also spites is one of the charm of playing pokémon and if that upsets you so much then I would suggest that you find a new game to play.

So all the people who want more games like Colosseum and XD can go **** themselves?

Personally I have no problem with the sprites, but they could do with smoother animation and there's nothing wrong with wanting a break from them entirely. Certainly nothing to get righteous and defensive about.

Anyway, how are the going to work on the 3DS? I can't see 3D sprites working terribly well...

You know what, if I had a complete set of pokemon prior to B&W then I would probably buy this and continue the collecting. But I don't. I have 483 different ones but no Lugia or Ho-oh, Mew or Celebi, or any of the event pokemon for Ruby/Sapphire or Diamond/Pearl. The completetist in me resents starting a new a pokemon game with those nasty gaps in my pokedex. So that is why I am not going anywhere near a new pokemon game until they can guarantee that those gaps can be filled.
Now playing - Trine 2 Director's Cut, Dino Crisis 2, Devil May Cry, The Cave
