got this free on ps plus and have to agree with the review, loving this game even though i still suck at virtua fighter when up against a moderate player i fail, my button bashing is no match for strategy and reflexes. That's why it rules it rewards skill and practice. :)

I've always been intimidated by VF, especially after the classic Gamesmaster 'Tetsujin' special, and I needn't have been. You can learn the basic survival tools in a day, Learning where and when to implement them, though... that's something else.

I got this game after my disappointment at Street Fighter X Tekken.
Its great!
After about 4 hours training and about 15 on-line matches I finally beat someone.
I vowed to keep playing until I beat someone, went up against some very high level players that were just on another planet (skill wise). I eventually beat a 4th dan as an 8th kyu, the excitement I felt as I got close to winning, I've not had from a game in a long time. And the win was amazing

Better than the new tekkens where online, you make one mistake and you watch the opponent take off a huge chunk of your health (sometimes all of it). Here you can still win from round 3 with 10% health.

Great game. The new combos add a lot of fluidity. A bargain.
I like cake.
