I can't really see this happening, I don't think there's enough to work with. The Zelda Lego that was being paraded a while back works because there's a variety of locations (read that as different play sets), characters and 'stories' to work with; that's how all the other licensed stuff seems to work (Avengers, Star-wars, Harry Potter, etc). With Portal I just don't think there's enough of any of those, and unless you did some really clever stuff with level design (on par with the ideas of the game itself, but even then they'd all be in the same grey colour scheme as the Aperture building, not the usual Lego bright-bricks :/) I think you'd be struggling. That's not to say I don't like the idea, I just can't see how you'd make a large set of marketable toys out of it (which is the bottom line here).

However, I get the impression Valve would be far more likely to go through with licensing this than Nintendo would with the Zelda set, and stranger things have happened, so you never know...

OMFG another franchise ruined by Lego. Nice knowing you Portal.

Valve .... how could you let this happen. Now we're gonna be stuck with endless streams of Lego Portal games.

I think seeing how the Lego Half-Life 2 mod died on it's arse it would actually be pretty cool to play a Lego Portal game, hence I was very disappointed when I found out this article refers to actual lego sets. I think all games should be Lego, not necessarily in the style in of Lego Star Wars and the like, but just look like everything is made from Lego.
Lego Doom, Lego GTA, Lego Sims, Lego LittleBigPlanet, Lego Saints Row, Lego Forza, Lego Tetris...
