Mac can do more on slower processors and lesser GPUs since OSX is far better optimised than Windows. If games are ported properly, there's no reason for them to require mega-specs.
I actually get Mac games via Steam, though I typically buy the Windows version when it's cheap and download to Mac when that version becomes available (the beauty being that you can get the PC GTA collection for a fiver on PC, and download the Mac versions for free while other sites/stores sell them for £35!)
Now, if only someone will either sort out the awful GTAIV PC port that hates my more-than-capable Radeon 6970M or make a Mac version that's better optimised....

So the next big thing is MW on Android (for free of course). Would be a good implement for ICS.

Won't happen :P GTA 4 is literally the WORST port in gaming history. They never even tried to fix it, nor will they.

As a Mac Gamer (as such) I wish Aspyr would port some decent games rather than this brown and grey excuse of a game.

Darkstar think you got it wrong, OSX is lame for gaming compared to Windows 7.
Running windows 7 via boot camp on the same Mac will give you much better frame rates running in Windows than in OSX this is running the same hardware using apples poor windows drivers too.

(OK, don't be silly. Apple gets its ass kicked by Microsoft when it comes to gaming. My work MB Pro running bootcamp and Windows is much faster in EVERY game than playing the same title on the same machine under OSX)

GTAIV hates eeeeeeeeverybody just the same :-)

I don't get this, i have been playing it and it is running smooth as a grape. mainly on highest settings, i think daytime shadows is on high rather than ultra because it took it above the memory available. at 1920 X 1080. So i would say they fixed it. I find that Rockstars' after release support is fantastic, L.A. Noire i had problems with but they released a direct X 11 patch and it ran perfect. But i suppose everyone gets different results from games.

And you want to call it the worst port in PC history, let's not forget about Saints Row 2.

Well guess Activision will be up Apple's arse just like EPIC. Sp expect to see news about how Acivision wants all games to me iOS only lol (Joke)

Anyway personally I game on Xbox and Windows. Mac to me seems to be more for work and media prodction rather than gaming. I don't see why people are complaing, as most modern games are created on Windows machines in the first place.

Black Ops has been out for quite a while now (we all know that...), but why would a Mac owner sit back and wait, when the Xbox 360 and PS3 are out there? Not all games come out on the Mac and PC, so having a console anyway would benefit. I always find these articles mind boggling.

Have to disagree with this statement. When Valve games were released on Mac I was excited to get on board with L4D & TF2 etc, but the frame rates were disappointing, certainly without dropping the resolution and applying medium quality settings. But things were much smoother via Windows 7 / Bootcamp on the same machine.

Apple have been including graphics improvements in their system updates since the release of Steam on Mac, but there's no way they'll be able to keep pace with the optimisations Nvidia/AMD provide.
