Aye maybe in looks but when it comes to actually crafting a story, pacing it and making it fun to play your still in PS1 territory.

This is all well and good but I don't own and have never played a Crytek game before. This may tell you something. There is only Crysis that looks remotely interesting but not a must have game for me.

Interesting comment. They might have a powerful engine that might be better than everyone else's at launch, but I doubt it'll be massively ahead of other developer's in a few years, just before the generation after that is released.

I remember GTA 3 being released on PS2, while playing it at the time it was hard to imagine a game like GTA San Andreas being released on the same console. The quality of games on a console increases hugely as developers learn how to squeeze everything out of it.

Crytek are becomming the most hated devs it seems, all talk and no action, they'd do better if they just spent their time actually trying to sort their s**tty AI rather than troll about the gaming websites.

A bit full of themselves this lot, aren't they?

"Beyond the next gen already", and yet on current gen, their engine doesn't look as good as some other games. Surely if you've got the best engine, games using it should be the best looking on any generation of hardware?

No you are not. You are nowhere near next gen because you seem to forget that visuals alone do not make up next gen!!!!

Go look at the likes of Watch Dogs, they have found a brillant mix of gameplay and visuals which has caused a frenzy in the gaming community. That's how you do next gen!

Crysis 3 does not look like next gen to me at all. In fact a FPS consisting of shooting military grunts and aliens n a destroyed Manhattan is etremely outdated.
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

What an arrogant bunch.

To the fella that said they're in the PS1-era on fun, I'd say you're a bit too optimistic, to be honest.

Maybe just a bit. Atari 2600 era then? ET level AI? Still a bit too flattering i think.
