Microsoft's stageshow barely touches on Halo 4's real gameplay

A kind of blindness and deafness sets in at E3; you're so busy dashing from meeting to meeting, wearing out your voice and wondering where the next bottle of water will come from that it's impossible to see the big picture.... read more

This game is looking awesome, im actually quite glad Bungie have buggered off so we can get a fresh new approach to this, and if these screens are anything to go buy, i wont be disappointed :)

how was reach not a true follow up halo game? or odst for that matter. both were large full fledged campaigns with multiplayer. i'm sick of game "journalists" using recycling the bullshit word play used by publishing companies. cvg you should know better.

Looks like most Halo games; boring as bat s**t IMO but hey that's the choice we have.

The end.

Unless GTA V turns up this year, this will be my most anticipated. Looks awesome and full of the mystery the first Halo had.

I bought Halo CE Anniversary recently and I tried to get into it but it's just plodding along shooting cartoon aliens!
Please tell me that there's a bit more to this series than just basic first person shooting?

So you're judging a whole series based on the original 10 year old game?! How about you try Reach and see how that is? The Anniversary was just a bit of fan service and shouldn't be compared to more modern FPS games.

Cannot wait for this game! Every other game coming out at the end of the year might as well not exist.

Really looking forward to this. It's certainly fair to say that Reach and ODST were little more than spinoffs. Reach also managed to completely butcher the source material :? . Yay for 343's embracing of the wider universe! :)

You can add me to that list, Stonecold. Getting ridiculously excited for Halo 4 and seeing what 343 have managed to do with the franchise. E3 wasn't all that but some of the stuff they did show was mouth watering- this and The Last of Us? Yes please.

Thank God because its only like been 1 hours since I had a good game of paintball onine with CoDMW3. I was hoping to do it again and again and again and again and again,,,,,and well again. But hopefully their will be actually like a whole 1 and a 1/2 ours of actual game-play in their somewhere right.
