What I can't understand is why on earth would you use a tablet or smartphone to use Explorer on XBox when you could just use the tablet's or smartphone's own browser instead? It seems completely pointless.

To use it as a mouse to browse the bigger screen?

And there we have it. A post with thought put into it. You actually looked at the possibilities, instead of slating it before you get to even try it. If more people actually thought, like yourself, before posting, the internet would be devoid of a shed load of stupid people.

Saying that, the internet would be quite dull without them, so a few can stay, we'll cull the rest.

It would be awesome if you could use for your phone microphone or headset for voice commands when using the net.

I wonder if it will offer the full internet experience??

Normally I only ever use IE to download Firefox - I wonder if that will be available on xbox too :P
As Confucius said 'Man who keeps hands in pockets feels Cocky all day'... ;-)

It amazes me that its taken 7 years to put one of MS key products on their hardware. Odd!

Clearly losing share on other products is taking it toll.

I've already got this feature...it's called AirPlay and apple tv and it doesn't run on poorly designed hardware, with a even poorer designed user interface on the worlds worst browser ;)

I'd rather MS stick to the games before they drop the ball completely.
