Sony to reveal PS3 e-book initiative at E3 - report

Postby chrisw92 » 30 May 2012, 12:22

Because when I think PS3 I think reading!

Could be good for some, I don't think I would use it though. If the report is true it would be suited better to the Vita as I can see how that would be useful (think of all the tablet and kindle type devices out their doing this).

I'm still waiting for them to port over the shoutcast and icecast powered internet radio players they brought out for the PSP, It wouldn't be that hard since the PS3 and Vita browsers are much more powerful. They just need a guy working on a maximum of 4 web pages (shoutcast and icecast on PS3 and Vita resolutions) which would take a day or two, then they just need to link them to the system menu like they do with the 4OD and ITV type 'apps'.

This could be used very nicely for interactive manuals and guides, but other than that I think this could be another Sony folly.

However, would be nice to intersperse my gaming with a little bit of soft core Playboy. Imagine switching from Nathan Drake to porn; ogling a right tit... AND THEN SOME PORN!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!1!

christ I'm bored

Although, it was a Playboy.

And I was sitting in church.

Naked.

Wow!!

Innovate. This is the future. I've always wanted to read on my PS3 and in fact I can't believe this wasn't a launch feature.

Go SONY.

If true this is more a feature for the Vita than anything else. Also the option of using the service on the PS3 is a added bonus for those who have a Vita and PS3. However for those who just have a PS3 like myself it's pointless.

I'm still trying to work out what's wrong with actual books
I own them, I turn the pages, they age with me, I can take them anywhere, no batteries and they smell nice to name a few.

Next we'll make an app where you can buy a virtual spark. Then you shove a USB lead in a log and look! Fire! The glories of technology, allowing us to complicate simple things for a price! Woooo!

Im guessing its more for Vita.

Im not sure I want to read anything 3M away other than subtittles, and my arms are not long enough to trace under the words so I dont loose my place or help me with big words.
