Classic 'Recon with a spec ops twist...

From Splinter Cell, to Rainbow Six, to Ghost Recon and even EndWar - all Clancy games share the same DNA. Yes, obviously, they're all about shooting men in the face from various distances, and saving the planet from dastardly terrorist groups (usually based in Russia), but one thing that often gets overlooked is that they're all world leaders in making you feel like a badass.... read more

Ghost Recon Future Soldier review: Clancy's new direction is

Postby YouStoleMyKill » 22 May 2012, 17:17

Picking this up Friday ... co-op campaign , horde mode , all multiplayer game modes are objective modes and there will probably be 95% less Justin Bieber , Twilight loving kids playing it than CoD, what's not to like

I'll have to wait a bit longer for it on the PC but I think it will be worth the wait.

Will be picking this up for sure, the MP was a bit gash in the beta but I am really looking forward to the SP and of course only university scholars and learned folk will be buying it

I'll be picking this up on Friday too. Been waiting for a good coop campaign game for ages and the lack of deathmatch in lieu of objective multiplayer is a huge bonus.

Yeah im a bit dissapointed if this is true. But im hoping all the people who have said that have played their first playthrough on Normal difficulty setting. Hopefully their is a hard mode, and then hopefully some kind of crazy hard mode.

Easy or not im getting this bad boy. I love a bit of tactical co-op. And the thought of stealth heavy co-op is a challenge that I have not really encountered before.

Very true, with most shooters (and games generally to a degree) people whinge about the challenge just to look clever all the time conveniently ignoring they have done it on easy.

Might get this instead of Max Payne. The "Gunsmith" is very interesting :D One thing that has been missing in games is the ability to create your own customised firearms. I wonder if the Gunsmith will really let us experiment and go crazy with the guns we can make? For example, having a fully automatic pistol that shoots Assault Rifle rounds :D

Mine was dispatched today, hopefully get it tomorrow, as it's Shopto and 1st class delivery. They generally get delivered the day after posting with them.

You're not the only one. I braved it and went with GAME and they have apparently shipped my order today to. So finger's crossed Thursday at least. I even pre-ordered the game with Ubistore to, as a back up for GAME. So I have a good chance I'll get one before release day and the other I'll get a refund. Jobs a good'n :)

As for the game itself I don't get the COD remarks. Sure it's changed from the past games, in some ways more than others, but it's still nothing like COD. COD is run'n'gun, you try that in Future Soldier and you'll get your arse handed to ya. As for the rest we'll see. I for one was impressed with the beta.
