GameStop ditches PSP at a quarter of its stores

LOL!! It just won't stop.

Sony are going to have to lock the windows in Kaz's office.

Seriously though, all this has been a wake-up call for Sony and that can only be a good thing.

SONY should just have out now the PS3 & PSVita i think. Forget about the PSP & PS2 now, stop wasting money & time on those consoles & use the money on making the PS3 & PSVita cheaper & making even more games for them to, to. Easy SONY, no? ? ? + People on the internet(most are idiots anyway) forget that the PS3 is the Top selling Console in Japan & Europe now(well it has been for ages & its close to overtaking the Xbox 360 in Worldwide sales to. Not that the internet would tell anyone if the PS3 overtook the Xbox 360 in Worldwide sales) So its not all doom & gloom like they try to make people think it is for the PlayStation brand. Keep dreaming of a Xbox only World because it will never happen LoL:D

ps2 and psp need milking.

They need to support their offspring: ps3 is bright (almost too bright) but was misunderstood and so struggled. Vita was of course born premature and needs an incubator.
As for the extended family, the lot of them keep coming to daddy playstation for handouts.
And then there are the other kids on the block teasing and poking fun...

Or some s**t like that.

My thoughts exactly...

The vita is really nice, just needs some more killer games on it.
I remember the first time I had sex - I kept the receipt.

As I understand it, in the emerging markets, India and Mexico for example where cash is tight but there for luxuries for the first time for some of the population, the cheap as chips PS2 (selling at about £60) is on the up in sales figures, the current gen just do not sell. The PSP also outsells the DS in India.

That's why they're still making and selling, it's building a user base in the countries where a loyal user base is still available to nurture and the emerging markets are accelerating much faster than Europe's.
