To my mind the one thing I think Kinect could really do well is make strategy games on console easy to control.

Heavy Rain would've been perfect for Kinect.

With party mode.

THE perfect game for Kinect would be a new Black & White. Everything you can do in that game is just made to go with interactive motion control. Spell gestures, throwing rocks and sheep, smacking or stroking your pet, commanding villagers with voice etc. etc. :D

The perfect game for Kinect would be one where you take it outside and smash it to bits...

forza idea is awful, in regards to using it for pedals, as you've got no physical resistance to gauge how far you've depressed them. It would be so inaccurate also, as Kinect is simply not precise enough.

As for the Mirrors edge idea

Didn't Ubisoft announce at E3 or whenever that all future Tom Clancy titles will feature Kinect? Thus, the next Rainbow Six should feature some kind of Kinect intergration.

Ah the Kinect; the modern-day equivalent of the power glove. Mind you, that's a bit of an insult to the power glove.

What Kinect really needs is the ability to work in a room that isn't a mansion! I would be able to get one then. It would sell more, games would sell more etc etc.

still wouldnt mean kinect would be suitable for implementation into "core" games as a substantial part of the controls as suggested in this article. Im sure you could find small uses for it in games that might add small improvements to a game, but will never be the main controls for traditional games. Without being judgemental about their value to gaming, as I know some people enjoy them, kinect is best suited for fun, party type games and games that are played on rails etc.

As much as we love to hate on it, it's important to remember the controller-less genre is still in its infancy.

The article wasnt about controller less motion controls of future, but 6 games that would be better with kinect, those 2 examples are clearly not ideas that would work well at all with kinect. Furthermore , tactile feedback and the issues of moving characters within 3 dimensional worlds cant be resolved with a concept even remotely similar to kinect either.

yup, spot on. its THE game for kinect and i'd possibly look at buying one just for this
in fact, didn't Mr M say something about that game when he was talking about kinect first, before it was released? or maybe that was a reader comment...
