Crysis 3: The best-looking game we've ever seen

Postby Jentario » 24 Apr 2012, 14:32

Graphics aren't the only thing that makes a game, and in terms of gameplay Crysis 2 was mediocre at best. Crysis 3 looks exactly like 2 with an extra bow (which DOES look awesome, though).

Sorry, but this looks so boring...How many times will they keep regurgitating the same experience over and over till enough of us get bored forcing the gaming industry to veer away from these snooze fests. Credit to those that do:)

does look but this pc graphics.
i think this game doesnt sell well because its a futuristic shooter. make a game using modern guns and modern warefare and you've got a top seller.

I never got to play the first one which I'm not bothered about, but after playing Crysis 2, I just didn't see what the fuss was. Playing it on the PC would of been the best option, what with it probably being the best version, but even so, the game itself bored me shitless. Another average game which is hyped up to the hilt. And it's published by EA....

Yeah, they could do with hiring someone like Ken Levine. Undoubtedly a very talented team , who can produce beautiful play environments. But running round just shooting at things is such a waste, they need better storytellers, as that's 50% of a package now. Half life with Crysis 2's maxxed out PC visuals would have been awesome for example .

Half-Life is up there with Crysis to name a few, which are mega hyped up. Saying that, Half-Life bored me shitless more than Crysis. First person shooters are a dead genre that keeps dragging its feet. Even CoD is in decline.

I agree with many others here, it doesn't matter if it looks amazing, it's still the same boring shooting and a boring setting.
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

Couldn't agree more with the comments, shooters are very boring to me now. I played the first, it was alright, not as good as Far Cry 1 though. Never picked up the second and I doubt I ever will, 3 looks to be the same. Style over substance.

Looks awesome but I wonder if we have to wait a million years for some BS patch before it looks like that.

They got to make it like the 1st coz the 2nd just sucked major ass.

I found Crysis 2 to be a soild, resounding and totally involving FPS - certainly the best FPS of recent times.

The Crysis series gives games the choice of how to approach and play missions - a far cry from COD and most other games were you are funnelled through a series of corridors.

Crysis 2 will only be mediocre if you choose to play it in a mediocre fashion.

You will know the meaning of mediocre playing through Killzone 2 and 3 single player campaigns.

Hi this might seem like a small qualm but can you say mirror's edge style parkour instead of Brink? I know brink has more in common with crysis blahblahblah but i'd greatly appreciate it if everyone said mirror's edge instead. It p**sed me off to no end when people treated brink like an improved mirror's edge before it was released, rather than another example of how Mirror's edge has influenced first person games.
