Retrospective: Freedom Fighters

That's it. I've been trying to remember the name of this game I half remembered for ages. Great game. Would very much like to see more of this.

I loved this game, the single player was awesome and the multiplayer was great. I loved playing it split screen with my little bro, having a few AI soldiers at my command. I don't think a sequel would be any good. They would try too hard to make it great and inevitably fail - I wouldn't mind a HD update on psn or xbl, though :)

One of the best games ever, definately ahead of its time, i liked the way ya could destroy different areas first like taking out the helipad would stop the helicopter etc, would def buy a sequel or evn a hd remake im sure they could do it with the kickstarter funds lauching remakes remakes left right and center at the mo

An absolute gem of a game. I would gladly pay for a HD collection.
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

When I couldn't afford a PS3 in my first year of uni, GAME would have a 4 for £20 pre-owned deal on PS2 games. I would go and pick few, play em n probably discard most (Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude comes to mind).

Anyway, got this game without any prior knowledge and loved it. Completed it a bunch of times and still think about it often. A true gem and, in my opinion, one of the best games of that generation, without a doubt.

Level design was fantastic, sondtrack was amazing and the actually task of giving orders was incredibly easy and very accurate. The only let down, for me, was the AI. If they were to release this again, they would really need to work on that 1st. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

I loved the game but it was too short, could finish it in about 4 hours if you're good. Higher difficulty levels were an absolute bitch but the satisfaction at beating a level was immense.

It is still one of the best games I have ever played.

Yeah Freedom Fighters is one of my favorite games on PS2, I played it a lot and still play it to this day every now and then. The soundtrack to the game was also very good. I've always wanted them to make a squeal to the first one and here's hoping they do make Freedom Fighters 2 at some point. :D
