PS3 CHART: Ico & SotC Collection makes 3rd place debut

Postby allmadeup » 03 Oct 2011, 10:47

I'm sure it would have done better if retailers stocked it a bit better. HMV Oxford Circus and Piccadilly weren't even selling it, and Game were sold out by Friday evening, though the shop was practically drowning in FIFA. Despite my aim to help high street retailers, I had to get it online in the end - shame.

Well done to everybody that bought it. I'd hug you but you'd enjoy it too much and probably get grabby.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

Its good to see people have actually bought these epic games for once. I have just reinvested in them again.

I could only find it in Game. Nothing in HMV or the supermarkets, and you can forget Currys/PC World these days. Same with Child In Eden which I also picked up. I felt very hardcore (or old) amongst the FIFA 12 knuckle draggers in the queue.

yep, me too. these went very rare back in the day and i managed to sell them for £80 each as soon as i heard about the HD release a few years back. :D
i recommended them both to everyone i knew at the time, only one person tried em and said they're boring, not enough enemies

Can people who got this (Ico/SOTC), based on hype, but never played it before share their thoughts on it. Could maybe be a good topic for CVG given its surprising high place in the chart.

Wonderful news. Good to see Ico and SotC make an amazing return. Though I still own my PS2 copies, I plan to buy the remake myself when I go up town tomorrow.
