A look back at Free Radical's mind-bending action game...

A man lies tied to a hospital gurney, blood seeping through his bandages. He can't remember how he got there, or for that matter, who he is. But something is wrong. He struggles against the restraints, scared and confused. Suddenly, a blinding light waves over the straps, and he's freed. Just what the hell is going on here?... read more

Free Radical were a pretty f**king great developer weren't they?

I hope Crytek have them working on more great stuff.

Never played it, for shame. I remember the picture of him holding his head in his hands with the gun, but always passed it by for some reason.

Had a look on Steam, it's available for under £4, bargain! I'll pick it up soon :)

IMO Psi-Ops and Second Sight weren't TOO comparable and I never valued one over the other. I think they both had their own features that made them special. Second Sight had a fantastic story and that polish only Free Radical could apply whereas Psi-Ops had fantastic use of powers and a much more sandbox feel to it.

Though I'd like to note that Psi-Ops was an abysmal PC port and handled much better on console.

***SPOLER...kind of *****

i always loved the ending to this game, don't know if it was my age or not, but i thought the twist was amazing.

would probably be obvious if i played it now.
Be excellent to each other.

I really want to try this out now. Played Timesplitters 2 for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it was pretty cool.
If anyone wants to see my favourite games take a look here :)

Maybe it was because there was a picture of a bald man crying into his hands that you didn't buy it? It's such an awful cover from a marketing perspective, no wonder no one bought it.

It was my love of Timesplitters and PSM2's review that convinced me to buy it. I loved it so much I bunked off sixth form for a few days just to play it for the third time.

Aparently they have them working on Time Spliters 4. Don't say Haze doesn't exist despite not being that great a game it still spun a rather good yarn.
