i disagree- a good game it may well be, and most likely it will be, but it will not be a skyrim/ bf3/ uncharted 3 beater.

Skyrim and Uncharted 3 will be a tough fight no doubt, but Battlefield 3?

Now i'm a big fan of Saints Row but i'm a bit skeptical as to how silly the third game has become. 2 had a good balance of realism and sillyness but the 3rd looks like it's soley aimed at 12 year olds who laugh at every cock joke
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

I watched a video of this not long back and it looked like a great alternative to GTA4s realistic approach,so I popped over to an online retailer and then the bad news......it's released 2 or 3 weeks within Batman AC and Uncharted 3 so I'll be leaving it until a price reduction or after Christmas, shame really as it looks like alot of fun.

"Every story mission will follow this template and provide standout scripted set-pieces to deliver unique moments - and the more playground fun is left alone to pad out the activity missions. It's hard to believe no one's thought of balancing their sandbox game in this way before, really."

I very much agree. It sounds so simple, yet it can do wonders for the often meaningless wandering around that sandbox games suffer from.

The opening bank job mission described in this preview sounds exhilarating!

Even Skyrim?

Course it is.
Its gonna pull out its big purple dildo, smack GTA silly then load GTA into its man cannon and launch its ass halfway across the city.

And as a result is far worse off for it.

GTA IV failed spectacularly to bring the serious thriller/gangster movie to video game form by being quite possibly one of the most boring and wretchedly tedious games of this generation.

The Ballad of Gay Tony was the best bit of the whole last GTA experience.

By making the main game more grown up they lost one of the key reasons San Andreas is thought of as the best in the series, missions that are different and fun for the player. It's all well and good having a more realistic game but when every mission is drive, pick up, drive, shoot then the player will quickly lose interest.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

LMAO...GOTY, yeah right dude...this game will be like DNF, people will hype it up and then hate on its retardedness and say how immature it is and it will end up with max high 60s or low 70s on metacritic...

And the game looks like crap anyway...and did you somehow forget its competition this year? It is game of the year, not game of nov 15th...you got Portal 2, LA Noire, The Witcher 2, Dead Space 2, Deus Ex, Gears of War 3, Rage, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, Arkham City, Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and Elder Scrolls V...etc.
