I really, really want DS3. I want to see what happens in the story. Obviously based on Severed, there's a greater story waiting to be told there, so I'm extremely excited. I just hope that they wont do like Capcom did with RE, move it away from horror into action. The game doesn't need to turn into some kind of sci-fi action epic. It needs to contain the claustrophobic space terror from the previous games.

That's pretty much what they did with DS2, and that's the very reason I'm not nearly as excited for number 3 as I was when Number 2 was announced.

Call me an old cynic but I doubt Visceral will ever make a better DS game than the first one.

YOU BLOODY CYNIC! AND YOU'RE OLD!

I jest. I know what you mean, for everything that was awesome in DS2, I still didn't think it was as good as 1, still though, I'm looking forward to see what they'll do.

The second one was definitely better.

And if you want something scary just look at this for ten seconds while repeating 'I believe everything I read'

Survive that horror? Have it!
Bureaucrat Conrad, you are technically correct -- the best kind of correct.

First one was scarier, second was better made, mix the two together and you get DS3 hopefully. Genuinely can't wait for it :)

I thought DS2 was like a big long linear corridor and we really didn't get to explore Titan compared to DS where you explore every corner of the ship. Shame really, I loved the concept of Titan. It reminded me of Bioshock's Rapture. Anyways, where do you think DS3 will be set? I couldn't see Earth being used as that just ruins the whole space concept.
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

I was gripped throughout whilst playing the first Dead Space but in DS2 i stopped playing at chapter 6. There was just something about it that didn't energetically pull me along like Isaac's original nightmare.

You have to finish Dead Space 2 ... it might suffer as a sequel but its still rewarding to play and I thought the story was gripping. Just slash your way through it and offer it up for England

I liked the DS2 multiplayer - its so much silly fun playing as a necromorph. Vomit attack FTW!

Good grief... DS1 was scarier than DS2, sure. To say that DS2 isn't even a survival horror though is a bit silly, especially if you compare it to what Resident Evil has become. As long as DS3 doesn't deviate even further from the first game, it should be fine.
