Cannot wait for this. It's going to be great. One problem though:
Nearing those thugs, a quick tap of u pulls Batman to a roof above the beating.

My joypads don't have a "U" button!!!

i'm with dom bom!

Asylum was near perfect, some slight niggles (dodgy boss battles, simple sleuthing) it more than made up for it with depth, free flow combat, character history, shiny cape and all.

City is by all accounts gearing up to be quite the epic! and just like its younger brother, i know shall find my self saying "i'm batman" at five minute intervals.

What about the takedown set-ups?
I wasn't particularly a fan of the 'stand and fight' sections of AA, they were a bit dull, but I loved sneaking around, setting up traps and picking the goons off one by one. Is that still in there?
Is it improved?
Is there even more of it than in AA?
I hope so.

Just waiting for the retailers to be confirmed in the UK as to who is offering what when you pre order before I put down a pre order. It sounds great and even if it was just like Arkham Asylum again I'd be more than happy.

I'm just not loving the inclusion of Catwoman as a playable character here. I play games to become involved in the story and the ability to change characters always, to me at least, ruins the pacing.

Neither did I before checking it out at E3 2011. For starters, she's a pleasure to control (fnar, fnar) - exactly like Bats but much more agile and acrobatic. Secondly, it looks like her story parts will often 'set up' scenes for Bruce. The demo we witnessed had you playing as Selina, trying to steal directly from Two-Face. When his goons caught you, you got tied-up, and then control switched to the big man and you carried out his rescue attempt.

I think the only way this could make you feel more "Batman" would be to have the old cartoon music (or as a bonus the old Adam West show music) playing over the top of it.
And as theideal said i hope the Silent Predator sections are still in there, was nothing better in the first game than freaking the goons out by knocking them off one by one from the shadows.

Triangle and X? That's a bit awkward on the fingers isn't it? Sure you don't mean square and X?
