I was rather hoping they'd finish fixing the deeply broken online experience of 2010 first....

wont be buying this after they've turned the Grid servers off without any sequel.

When you see Nico Hulkenberg win a GP in career mode, it's time for the game to be fixed. We had one update for that game in its lifespan. I really do hope the online experience is vastly improved, we have frozen games, rivals lag switching, the results page glitching so much that the guy that finishes second or third comes out on top according to the game nd a whole host of other problems.

I'm not interested in single player that much, but if that's improved I'll certainly give that a look too, provided it has some sort of incentive to carry on for more than 1 season (Trophies aren't enough).

The addition of real pit crews sound great. So does dynamic weather, that could make races really intense.

BUT I WANT SAFTEY CARS!!!

This is what they mean by not taking foot off the gas, they just keep going and going without looking at mess they've left behind .

Turning of ps3 servers whilst leaving 360 and pc ones on is scandalous IMO .
The game was hardly ancient.

F1 2010 was a very good game, and by far the most intense pant wettingly fast racing game I've ever played but my one real itch with the game was in the online time trial mode.

You could see the ghost cars who had set the fastest laps actaully cutting chicanes, etc. I mean why wasn't their times deleted? there was times when my hands were so wet from sweat on this mode it was unreal only to be shown that I'm still 3 seconds off the fastest time. it was total b*llocks.

If they sort that out, and some of the other annoying bugs and glitches, then F1 2011 will be awesome.

I think you're getting your Codemasters games confused. That was GRID, not F1 2010. And they left the 360 GRID servers on because we pay an annual subscription for that kind of thing.

I still play this on an almost daily basis (single player) and I love it, even more than GRID, which was previously my favourite driving game.
it has flaws, but I can overlook them for all they achieved and what went right.

I know full well what game I was referring to, the principle remains the same. Buy a game and have servers switched off prematurely , doesn't sound like a great selling point for future game franchises .
Secondly , you pay a subscription fee for live , which is nothing to do with codemasters servers. None of ur subscription fee goes to codemasters , so that argument is incorrect.

I swear I read that they are adding safety cars.
Some cheerleader at school or hot secretary at the office may not think you are cool but let’s be real, those very same bitches don’t love bacon and still use IE to explore the web.

You are incorrect. The GRID servers are run by MS, not Codemasters unlike on the PC & PS3.
