So the exact same price the £DS was at the 1st round of pre-orders...

So going of that once other stores start undercutting it will reach £200 by release :D

Yeah we can only hope that happens in the UK. The 3DS and DS were alot more popular than the PSP. I think the supermarkets will be the first to cut the price.

That's actually pretty good for what you're getting (hopefully the price will drop a few times pre-release too).

Precisely what would the benefits of the 3G version be over the wi-fi one? I don't know much on the subject of 3G.

I''d say that is reasonable, given the tech inside.

3G would allow you to access online almost everywhere using a mobile signal, while wi-fi needs a wireless Internet connection.

Gaming is turning into a money nightmare. £219 for a 3DS, around £250 for a PSP2, £299+ for a Wii U (I'd say close to £399), Xbox 720 and PS4 will come with a hefty pricetag, and Apple are going to join the console war soon. And I forgot to mention a handheld from Microsoft....

Presumably that means you'd have to pay a monthy contract then?.

Not too shabby. I wish they'd stuck with NGP though. That sounded like a piece of military hardware. Vita sounds like mineral water :/

Cheaper than I thought and there's a big possibility of a price-war before it's released. I'll probably stick with the wi-fi model though, can't say I've missed 3G on my iPad.

if you have a mifi dongle you dont need the 3g version - its a mobile wifi device you dont plug in - acts as a wifi router would ... available on 3 and Tmobile I think, bonus is you can connect your other wifi enabled devices too it. On saying that, lots of phones support tethering anyway these days

regarding the 3g version, you can buy sim cards for the THREE network that come with 3gigs of data valid for 3 months for about £8 to £9 on amazon.
Also you could always buy the wifi version and spend the money saved on a mifi dongle. To those who aren't aware thats a portable dongle you can put in your pocket that allows its 3g signal to be shared over wifi.
Allot of phones also offer this function too so you see the 3g version is already a tad crap, especially if comes network locked!
