OnLive challenges Wii U tech

OnLive is coming to Android devices too. Can't wait

Been really disappointed with the Google Marketplace - Apple App store has far better games.

So given that Onlive, Apple and Sony are all jumping over themselves to introduce Wii U style ideas, that must mean Nintendo are on to something. :D

And as for Sony copying Nintendo...
We have the not-at-all-like-the-wiimote-and-nunchuk Playstation Move.
And the not-at-all-like-3DS-Streetpass Vita Near.
And the not-at-all-like-a-DS Sony Android S2 Tablet.

Guilty as charged.

Just finished reading the Iwata asks feature on e3.nintendo.com & it says in it that wii U has been under development for 3 years so it not exactly straight out copying is it?

Who gives a f**k who copies who? Thats how technology advances, buy building on the innovations of others. What if everytime someone made new software they had to create a new language? Learning from the works of others is why we have current technology. Its about who does it best. Putting a screen in a controller isnt a novel idea, but it is a surprisingly good idea. Its one of those obvious but great inventions. Doesnt matter who did it first, i think nintendo will see plenty of success with the wiiu and i think this is an innovation that will stay with us in the next generation. Onlive may just replace consoles btw.

No you dont its completly free, you can even try it now if you like .. you pay for the games ...

Go to the website, create an account an download the client, everyone who says its s**t obviously hasnt tried it.

I was totally sceptical but you know what it does work, even when your connecting to servers in the states.

Personally I wouldnt use it, but I can see people who would.

Dont see whats it got to do with the Wii U ... comparing apples to oranges.

LOL, and Sony had the PSP and PS3 connectivity before OnLive...who cares. Why don't I want Onlive? Because I have to download all of those games and can't get a physical copy....That and no exclusive games...Every system needs an exclusive set of games. Onlive, until you can start announcing some awesome exclusive games you need to shut your mouth and go back underneath the rock you came up from.

My opinion, of course, and people are welcome to disagree with me.

Ironically it was actually Nintendo that did it first:

So all those doing the 'copying' argument, should really shut it!

I have used it.

Its completely crap.

The graphics, or should i say video, is really low res and blurry on my 30" Monitor.

My PC can already run every game in their library at max @ 2560 x 1600 which it looks like does not happen at their data centres.

And it lags A LOT. Ok it is the US server but it just dosent feel right playing it "from the cloud"....

Plus none of my friends have it/intrerested in it....
