Xbox 360 dominates Brink sales

Postby TykerD3 » 16 May 2011, 11:25

Good results for MS. I wonder how the Downtime of PSN affected PS3 sales? I heard a lot of COD players swapped their PS3s in and got 360s. Odd i thought, i would never be that desperate to play COD, there is plenaty of offline games to play.....

I'm suprised it sold so well considering the hammering it took in the reviews, I tried to cancel my preorder the only reason I've got it is becuase they shipped it hella early

Well, seeing as it's an online only game, this is hardly surprising given Sony's latest problems...

Don't you know, most X-Box owners will buy any old sh*t. And they probably shipped it early knowing you'd find out its crap and so can't cancel

They[Xbox 360 owners]seem to buy any old rubbish it seems. I suppose they have had no 'AAA' Exclusive this year yet so they will buy anything going.

at least 360 owners actually buy their games compared to ps3 fanboys who love to talk about games they dont buy, its ps3 fanboys who buy any old crap sony throws at them, they dont even have any real big titles till end of the year aswell, kz3 tanked, socom tanked, no one cared about motorstorm or yakuza, lbp 2 got some attention, the only games people really care about is infamous 2, uncharted 3 and resistance 3

all this talk about teh big ps3 exclusives and the majority of them have flopped, and yet all ms needs is one exclusive to completly wipe the floor with any and every ps3 exclusive, talk about 360 owners all you want, at least they buy their games

As someone who has worked in retail circles for a number of years, I can confirm that many PS3 exclusives under perform when compared to MS and Nintendo's offerings. I do find it amazing why the Sony fanboys go on about the brilliant exclusives available to them, when as someone pointed out earlier, you don't always buy them collectively. MAG, Killzone 2 & 3, Socom, Lair to name just a handful, are games that under performed at retail. In fact in terms of raw numbers and market anticipation the only two that do well are Uncharted and Gran Turismo.

Didnt get hammered in all reviews, just a select few, majority of reviews had it as a 7/8.

As for outselling ps3 veersion, hmmm, big shock lol

psn down and multiplayer based game doesnt sell huge amounts, quel surprise? fps outselling ps3 version of game, nooooo really?, thats a given really, they always do.

How in the name of sweet zombie jesus has this turned into a my exclusive is better than your exclusive pissing contest. My favourite this year has been Yakuza 4, am i supposed to not like it because it didn't sell 50 million now?. Sit down, chill out and have a nice cup of tea with a hob nob. Everybody should channel their rage into something worthwhile instead, like finding and repeatedly punching these two...

Ive a more guilty sin, I keep buying games, even though I know I dont have time to play them all. I started Brutal legend recently. Im glad a bought it, even though the reviews were not great, im loving the game myself.

Ive realised that sometimes you have to take a gamble on some games, maybe the reviewer didnt like the game/Genre. CoD comparisons are often rife with shooters, even though the series hasnt vastly improved since CoD 4. I played MW2 not long ago and was disappointed about how little it offered and how over hyped it was.

Reviews and units sold are not a testament to how good something is. Britney Spears/ lady gaga or Justin whatever his name is anyone?
