Hydrophobia update overhauls entire game, price drop too

Postby El Mag » 20 Dec 2010, 13:23

I was tempted to buy this the first time but got Mass Effect 2 dlc instead. Anybody got anything good to say about it?
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

Only played the demo and didnt really like it for many of the things they say they have improved. The real negative was the voice acting usually i pay little or no attention to it in a game but so bad is the "Scottish" guys voice in the game it made it nearly unplayable.

I am also tempted to buy it now,

But my question is: Do those who have already bought this get the update or is it going to be a seperate purchase?

Or to put it another way: If I buy Hydrophobia NOW will I recieve an update for the game?

This is good news, i followed this game since it was first announced and when it was finally released, i just couldn't get in to it. Mainly the controls and chaotic graphics. So hopefully this will be an improvement and i can actually play it.

Holly S***T - Sounds like Hydophobia 2.

How can they release a game, in what sounds like - a complete mess.

I always feel we over criticise games for silly little things, or for not being perfect, for a game to be deemed unplayable because of an in game voice kind of proves my point.

Lighten up guys, it's only a game.

The price was what was really holding me back from buying it.. 120MS Points just seemed like way too much...

But now, I will most likely buy it. :)

Overall, I thought it was great the first time around. Something different and refreshing but there were problems with the maps etc

But look. A studio has actually listened to feedback they've been given and rectified what was wrong. How many other studios would do that. Not many. Quite a few are far too arrogant to accept there are problems with the game in the first place. Good on you Dark Energy Digital. A studio which is actually trying new things and making an effort to improve themselves and the gamer's experience.
