They will release a couple of patches that dont sort anything and then abandon the game all together. Its the Codemasters way, Operation Flashpoint:DR ring any bells?

It should've been delayed.

My next door neighbour said it's impossible to come first no matter what, I'm not sure if he's bull****ing or not.

I noticed in the 'pit stop' part, that it doesnt mention about the other cars ghosting past you down the pit lane.its happened to me many times.

Talk about trying to baffle us with bullshit.

Yeh being overtaken in the pit lane is annoying, also one time I came into the pit lane with Hamilton behind me, he ghosted past and when I came out he was half a lap ahead of me.

Has anyone had any problems when racing in the rain? I started on pole in shanghai, it was raining hard, I set off at the first corner and was still in first and started to pull way in front of the car in second place to a point where 15 laps in, all front running cars were in the pits allowing me to over lap them.

My pit crew never called me into the pits and it was still raining, yet all the other cars had gone in and changed to slicks.

I spun off once, got back on the track and the car in second place over took me even though I had lapped them which I find very strange.

My opinion is you are not meant to come first in a race whilst you're in your first season of racing, which is a major problem if you are faster than the AI cars.

My next door neighbour wrote this as he's the one with the problem, I'm still practicing in Bahrain as I've hardly touched F1.

Worryingly, he never mentioned anything about savegame 'corruptions'...I bought F1 2010 for the PC as I have a Sidewinder force-feedback wheel...went through all 3 practice sessions in Bahrain, saved the game and logged off...when I reloaded the next day the game wouldn't start, so I deleted my savegame files and it started no problem!
This is a fantastic racing game...but there are some game breaking bugs!
Not playing it until the patch is released

Its possible to win in you're 1st season, i won at Montreal. As for rain, you don't have to change tyres in a rain affected race. The other bit about lapping may be a bug, I haven't seen it myself.

The biggest frustration for me regarding the bugs, is that I find myself not playing the game anywhere near the extent I expected I would. I have only done a handful of career races and already experienced some of them (such as Chandhok finishing 6th, and ahead of me, having not made a stop) and I kind of feel there is no point truly immersing myself in it when I will probably start it over upon the release of the patch.

Shame, too. I had a race in Malaysia where there were no real bugs (if you discount an AI car driving through me upon pit-entry). Started in the dry, began to rain a couple of laps before my scheduled stop. Ended up staying out a few laps after I was supposed to pit in to see how the weather played out, and the rain worsened so I was able to come in and stick wets on. Meant I jumped a bunch of cars who had already made one stop, which was a pretty cool feeling.
