Never mind a cancelled PoP Game, why the Hell did Ubi cancel this?

Its like a cross between PoP and AC in modern times (kind of)!

@StonecoldMC - Honestly that doesn’t look like a game I’d really enjoy playing. The gameplay looks fairly run-of-the-mill and unexciting, and the way the video showed, this whole thing seemed like a scripted event rather than actual gameplay, like a CG cutscene.
PS3 FTW !!!

@Drifter

I know thats not straight out Gameplay its more of a show of what their tech might be able to do, but even if they could get close to it then it would blow most Games (graphically) out of the water.

Its only a 45 second clip though who knows what the Game is about or how it would have played. Ill disagree though, cause if it did come out even with just that short video it would be one Game that I would deffo want to have a shot of.

i can understand why they might of canned the modern day PoP, what with assassins creed ending up in the modern day a logical conclusion for the series.

I agree with you stone cold. That canned game looks epic. The mind boggles why some games get canned. Likewise EA canning a new Road Rash, its almost as if they don't want to take our money.

I know monkey, it does look great doesnt it!

You wonder how much Devs & Publishers spend on R&D and actual programming before they can a Game, I bet its not cheap.

This is a list I seen a while back about some cancelled Games, you really do wonder why some of these got cancelled yet think of some of the Games that have made it out!

Prince of Iran doesn't have as good a ring to it. Certainly there is plenty of action going on over there though.
Optimus Prime: I want you to go in that bag, and find my wallet.
Megatron: Which one is it?
Optimus Prime: It's the one that says Bad motherf**ker

A modern day price of persia?

Yeah it's called Iran. Imagine running across markets and climbing up ropes to escape an angry mob of locals who will publicly flog you and stone you to death for believing in another god.

On another note - Mirrors edge, anyone? That is pretty damn close to a modern day price of persia esqe game. A very underrated game imo.

Thankfully Mirrors Edge is returning for its second installment soon. Heres hoping it gets more love then the first.
Really is quite a innovative title.

I reckon if the take the "Persia" part off, the "Prince of" could easily be the franchise. Set it in different parts of the world at different times through history. Would keep things interesting and give plenty of scope for new environments.
