New Xbox 360 pad - first video!

Postby gavedge81 » 31 Aug 2010, 17:32

Well I like the new d-pad looks cool and I like the twisty thing and I like the fact its gonna come bundled with a play and charge kit. Not too sure about the ABXY buttons didn't think that there was anything wrong with them. I hope that that isn't the colour it will come in, it should come in either black or white not a combination of both. I think I'll wait till I can have a look at one in my hands and see how it feels before I order it.

The X,Y,B and A buttons need to change but it's not that much of a big deal. I might buy this been as I want a spare control pad anyway. I'll use my old one as the spare. Not to shabby.

Look at the new controller, twist and turn:
:D
Coming November 9th:
:D
...for &64.99..:
 :(

But seriously? That's about £50, so without Plug and Play kit, about £30. Looks like i'll never touch that controller...
Not to forget the price hike...

I really kind of wish it wasn't $64.99 though

D-pad looks really good, now Street fighter might actually be worth playing on the 360. I had SSF2 HD on both 360 and PS3, and it was awful on the 360 just becuase the d-pad was awful, so kudos to MS for making a much better one.

Not sure about changing the colour of the buttons though. Many games have the buttons on screen in the colour they are on the actual pad so that might become confusing.

How much? $64.99? f**k right off....

That price has to be wrong. That's more than double the price of a pad now.

Hmm I don't like that they took away the colors in the XYBA buttons. The color coding helped a LOT with finding buttons in the heat of battle. Especially for on-and-off gamers like myself. I can go months without using the pad controller.

As for the d-pad. Ok, slight change there, I guess for the better but not by much.

I still think the old X360 controller is still the BEST controller for any modern console by a wiiiiiiide margin.

Is that the retail model or a test version?

I love it :D

I would miss the colour codded buttons, but seriously do any of you really forget which is which???

This would look pretty sweet with LED mods too :p

Will buy this and Kinect :D (Ps pad is still the daddy though lol)

Why would you need a new controller?? I thought they wanted you to do everything without a controller?! Ya know, 'the future' :D

I won't be buying it.

It's a shame the current 360 pad doesn't have the new dpad though, it's the only thing that lets the current pad down.
I still prefer it to the ps3 pad though(i don't use the dpad much as i hate beat em ups).

Why'd they remove the colours on the controller?

That makes the controller look, in my opinion, too sterile and boring. Obviously, you're not gonna be looking at the controller but still...

It helped with casual gamers like parents who find it easier to be told 'Press green to jump' rather than press A (which one is A they ask).

They add something good and take something good away in the same hand.

Bizarre.

Yay. Where's the dildo attachement? Surely this is the 'in thing' at the moment?

Yuk, yuk, yuk...
