PS Move: Ball is 'crucial', Sony says

Postby Dajmin » 18 Jun 2010, 13:36

Makes a lot of sense actually. It sounds like they've put some serious thought into the device - I just hope the games live up to it. The last thing we need is a whole range of waggle games.

It seems to work well with SOCOM 4 from what I've seen. It might be fun for the single player compaign but I don't know if it'll give you an advantage online against people using a normal controller.

They might add a auto-aim mechnism into the normal controller though?

Or even seperate the games by a specific game controller type.

What about if you have a wall covered in the same 360 different coloured hues? I guess then a trip to Homebase is in order.

You can also use it while sitting down, and playing in the dark.

Huh. Co-incidentally, 360 is also the name of the Playstation 3's biggest competitor. I don't know what you would make of that... which is why I'm not saying it... so, yeah. Gonna go now.

I thought it was obvious that it was a reverse of the wiimote.
The wiimote is the eyetoy, only sensing ir light instead of the visible spectrum the eyetoy does, and the sensor bar is just 2-8 ir led's.

The visible light spectrum would be less accurate if the ball was less-stupid looking.

I don't think Sony or Microsoft are that concerned about the success of these devices and they have mainly been commisioned in order to stall or prevent you from purchasing a Wii.
