It's quite obvious that the reason is because they're either trying to secure some celebrity voice talent, or they're building up links with the celebrity industry for future projects. It's no secret that Peter likes having big names in his games.

We're showing it to "famous people" first? At best that's a total lapse of judgement, at worst it stinks of elitism. Surely everyone will speculate that the reason that it's not being shown to gamers/games journalists is because they'll easily spot its deficiencies, unlike celebrities who may be far more easily wowed. In my opinion, MS are going about building up hype for Kinect in the totally wrong way.

I admit I didn't have much faith in Mr Molyneux - having never played any of the Fable series and thought him as a lapdog for Microsoft. However my opinion of him has changed the technology that his team are creating is amazing and after doing research on I found that I have played his games and enjoyed them. Anywho this Milo tech is amazing imagine this being used in games like Mass Effect or Eldar Scrolls using my new faith in Molyneux I believe this tech will great and could well change the industry. As for the "famous people" only it seems a very odd tactic to use...........voice overs.......testing.........celeb backing of product. Or is it something more intriguing maybe Milo is being introduced to them so that he may talk about them to you, or mention something they said to him?????

Sounds more than plausible to me - I could definitely see that being the case.

It's obviously not in any shape to be fully shown to the public just yet. I don't think they'd really be doing anyone any favours if they were to just show what we all saw last year. I think that when we do see it, it'll be very close to the full retail version - next years E3 is my guess.

He probably wants all the celebs Tweeting on how awesome it is... because everyone knows you are not in the in-crowd unless you follow famous people on Twitter... or something :)

Got to agree with kimoak here. It's a very casual tech demo that will be technically very impressive but offer little reason to use it often and will fair better with the clueless twitterati than with cynical journalists.

I second what kimoak said, because after all if a celebrity likes something then all the little girls and boys blindly follow like mindless zombies; which of course will then mean nothing but money regardless of any other factor (such as if it's actually any good).

That alone intrigues me!

Maybe MS are just waiting 'till nearer launch to then go "Ah, here's the bundled game folks..."
