I'd day it would be scarier if your attacks only knocked back the enemies or stunned them a bit- I quite like the approach that the Shattered Memories game on the Wii took with the glancing over your shoulder thing.

I've always thought the games were horrible to play- clumsy, awkward and at times mundane- but they're so damn wierd they demand to be played.

Meh. Silent hill 3 was the last good one, in fact SH3 was amazing.
I own SH, SH2, SH2 Directors Cut, SH3, SH4, SH:Origins, SH:Homecoming and the silent hill movie.

Quite frankly I've had enough Silent hill, Silent hill 3 was the last good one and I don't think i'll be buying anymore, especially after akira yamaoka has left konami

Silent Hill 2 remains the best survival horror game of them all for me.

Konami's Brian Gomez said this Silent Hill will be...

So that damn American dev team is working on this again, not the original Jap studio.

It won't live up to the name...

They've already announced game bundles for dead space and medal of honor on PS3. Imagine getting an HD remake of silent hill 1+2 thrown in aswell. Would be an instant 1st day purchase.

unfortunately it looks like a pile of dog-wank. the visuals and animations look more like a wii/ps2 game than a ps3/360 one. disappointed :(

On hearing this news i began to play the classics again, Silent Hill 2 is still my favorite, but i forgot how good SH3 was and yeah it was and should have been the last one in the series, its becoming stale and generic.

But if they can create a storyline that could cause a stroke, and produce images that will make me puke my ring up, then im all for it, but it can never capture what Team Silent created. A genuinely scary and fascinating game.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Next-Gen? How the hell is the current console cycle still considered "next-gen"?

here's hopeing for a miricle but.....

imagine silent hill to be kinect compatable. so you walk around and do everything so your actually in the game.

the camera will be close to player so it can replicate all movement easily and even when you crap your pants and run away.

take silent hill back to its slow paced roots and this will sell like hotcakes.

People hoping for PS2 collections like Silent hill, GTA and MGS collections are sadly not gonna happen, Sony can only re-release ONLY their own PS2 IP's such as Sly collection, If you want to play the old PS2 titles you will either have to plug your PS2 back in or buy another one PS2
