It does look tempting.I'm going to wait a bit to see if it has a widespread failure rate. Both my launch model and elite have red ringed so I'm very wary of Microsoft.

if it is indeed whisper quiet, i may get 1, liking that it has more usb sockets, makes the 2 front usb on the ps3 seem like a very bad design desicion

I believe Sega disappeared due to Sony's underhand tactics actually.

Really like the look of this but alas, my 360 is 4 years old and still going strong so I needn't upgrade... though I do want to.

The built-in wifi is the most appealing aspect of it for me, but being honest, that should have come as standard on the old models in the first place.

Is it only in 250GB? If so, it just seems like an excuse to charge buckets of cash for it. I can imagine its going to be mega expensive.

They need a version which is under £100. It's 20fucking10 C'mon, people aren't made of money. The production costs can't be that much. Microsoft are whores, ugly, dirty aids infested whores!!

gloss finish? internal hdd? touch sensitive buttons? SLIM MODEL!??

Is it just me or does it sound like MS are just copying SONY? Seriously that sounds just like the ps3 when it came out, the 360 had nothing like that and was white.

It's slowly turing into a PS3...just add a blu ray drive and internet explorer and they will be more like slight variations of the same console rather than rival consoles.

When I got a new 250 GB PS3 slim, everything (even copy-protected files) was effortlessly transferred by the Data Transfer Utility from my original PS3. And at no extra cost.

As with Mr.PirtNiw I'm tempted, but seeing as how my one year old Xbox 360 has never had any operational problems to date and uses the Jasper chip set (thus less prone to overheating and RRoD'ing,) there is no sensible utilitarian rationale for me to purchase the Xbox 360 slim. I do think it looks stylish and the new features are nice, but I don't have an immediate use for them, so it would simply amount to an unnecessary cost that is redundant in terms of the uses I would get out of it compared to those that I already get out of my current console. Nice effort MS. Perhaps another time.
