I have hayfever, so if I sneeze whilst playing a game or watching a video what happens? Will I be skipping half way through movies and ruining it for everybody else?

7 years on from EyeToy and 4 years on from Wii and this is the so-called 'future of gaming'?
Party games/Sport Mini game collections, Dance Games, Fitness games, Virtual Pets, On-rails games, Video Chat.. forgive me if I don't get excited at the prospect of 'controller free gaming'.

Ditto all three posters above

This really is a load of b**locks, a perfect North America WASP family, kids in chinos and polo shirts enjoying some good, clean, family entertainment whilst his Dad laughs approvingly from the sofa

Some game where you jump around the lounge to pop balloons in a raft, f**k that

Is this what it has come to?

Is this the future?

Urck, and now for the Sony Move horror show

Is it just me or did that starwars "demo" look completely fake??

I mean, the "player" was just mimicking what was happening on the screen, and the character on screen was leading! He even stuck his chest out at the beginning to mimic the onscreen stance....

And as for the new name... "Kinect" makes "Natal" sound awesome...

Exactally what I said first time I saw the natal advert, looked like a proper cheesy early 90's ad. Attach the phrases

*Looking into the air shaking head "here we go again" and "fun for all the family"

Absolute boll*cks.

I don't mind admitting I was intrigued by what Natal (oh, sorry... er, Kinect) could offer, it's a really unique proposition. I also thought that despite it's potential, the lack of a controller may actually hinder it more than Microsoft seem to think.

I am bitterly disappointed that all they seem capable of is emulating Nintendo from four years ago. Seriously, you have this incredible technology with bags of potential and all you can come up with is a Wii Sports knock off? No way. I also seem to remember Greenberg spouting about how Natal will appeal to the core gamer.

Well I'm a core gamer, and guess what? I see nothing that appeals to me. Cash in, me too, wannabe tripe.

The big M had better do something special this evening.

I think I threw up a little bit

I could only watch the first vid, couldn't bare the rest. And even then the lag was just plain bad at times. At one stage, around 3:53, the woman's avatar jumped even though she didn't!

For games to work and be enjoyable, it has to be 100% accurate. Anybody who has played a laggy game of gears online (in other words, you were not host! :P) will tell you how frustrating it is.

So, it's not really an anagram of "kinetic" after all then, because that would be "i-kinect", and that would make little Stevie Jobs very very sad...

On that 2nd vid, were the kids saying "go Mum go", or "no Mum no"? :|

Best line, "I love spending time with my family, it's so much better than gaming", classic!! :P

I think Kinect sounds more stupid than Wii, Move or even Natal. It is going to be great for party games, sport games and user interfaces, without doubt. System seller though? I think not.

Wonder how much it costs to pay someone to say "Awesome" these days? I'm guessing it is quite a bit more than just "Cool"

It's a good thing Sony wiped all our memories of the eye toy or we'd be saying that these adverts are pretty similar....... wait a minute!
