His job can't be just to make up facts about a topic he doesn't know anything about. Why hasn't this noob been sacked yet?
I want his job, i'd be much better

Hopefully they'll put him in the Big Brother house and we won't hear from him for 3 months

Still - part of his opinions seem fairly accurate...

I like the guy, but I'm not convinced he doesn't just predict the mostly obvious.

Having said that, I have my doubts about a touch screen PSP. En guarde, Pachter!

sounds good,if it wasn't for the fact that pachter said it.

not saying these things won't come to pass but this guy kinda irritates me tbh.

there's plenty who post here who know more about the industry than him.

if you throw enough sh!t,some of it will stick. christ how do you think i do it!?

pach-attack should be the new by-word for bullsh!t. :D

Whether right or wrong in the predictions, any PSP2 is gonna have to be a serious piece of kit with some seriously good games and applications available on launch. If it isn't then I fear PSP2, which might in itself be a good enough console, will get lost in the console crowd and sink PSPGo style. Also seems like every other console innovation is gonna have a head start if PSP2 not out till 2011. I hope PSP2 is a success, but I fear for it already.

Well I am not as established an analyst as Michael but between lines of coke I predict Sega will re-enter the hardware market with a robotic monkey whose joystick erection makes fire spurt from its eyes and an add-on for the Wii that makes chocolate.

And if thats all b*****ks then don't blame me, I'm an ANALYST not REAL news...

MS aren't a company that cares much about the aesthetics of their products, so I'm not convinced we'll ever see a redesigned "slim" 360, and as for Sony getting things right with their PSP brand? Dream on...

Don't think there will be Xbox 360 Slim. Have you seen the size of Natal camera - It is bloody big (As same width as Xbox 360).

Natal isn't designed specifically to sit ontop of your 360. Even if it was, "slim" doesn't necessarily mean "less wide".

Sir Alan Sugar lays in a bath, vomiting continuously until he can paddle in his own emesis, beating himself off until he can self asphyxiate by submerging his head in the glutinous, lumpy volume at the point of orgasm.

A much nicer image to me than clicking online and seeing "Michael Pachter says...".

I cant see a slim 360 being announced, we would have heard about it by now (leaked PS3 Slim) and I dont think we'll see a PSP2 either. He might be right with the 3DS though, that might be a bit of a show stopper.
