EA Sports predicts Spain will win World Cup

Sounds pretty reasonable, I guess. But, I still don't think Spain will win the World cup.

Firstly, serious props if this England team make the semis, they have got rabbit in headlights, quarter final surrender written all over them at the moment

Secondly, going out on PKs yet again. Seriously again? Even in the virtual world England players can't win a shoot out

I'm with you on that, even though I'd like them too, or Holland. I have doubts on the fitness levels of Xavi, Iniesta, Torres and Fabregas being enough to take them all the way. If they are truly over the injuries they picked up at the end of the season, then Spain will win it.

Wouldn't you prefer them to get to the final, only to get beat by a last-gasp goal?

I'd go along with that. Argentina could certainly surprise everyone, the only thing that seems to be holding them back is Maradonas management - on paper, they're a terrifying prospect for anyone. Still can't believe that he didn't pick Cambiasso.

Still, it's the World Cup - there'll be plenty of surprises.

England have as good a chance as they'll ever have. With Rooney on top-form and Lampard in his scoring boots, who'd bet against us?

Good to see scottish nationalism still alive and well.

I thought you'd want the french to have a hasty exit too.Hopefully in some kind of plane or coach crash. Cheating bastards!

As an Arsenal fan, I'm split about it. It's good, as it might force him to improve on the weaker aspects in his game. Bad, because Arsenal won't have a player in the England squad (also, he'll be more useful than Wright-Phillips IMO).

Bottomnal

Walcott was falling over far too much in those friendlies. I don't care that he isn't going, but I still rate him despite what Chris Waddle says.

I do think Waddle has a point though - Walcott doesn't seem to have improved much over the past couple of seasons. He's got everything there to be truly world class, but he really needs to work hard to get there - I'm sure he'll be back in an England shirt soon enough.

Personally, I'd have liked to have seen Adam Johnson taken to SA. A natural left-footer with bags of talent - could've have been a good option to give us real shape when needed.

That sounds beautiful Mantis, preferrably to a last minute penalty for Germany, where its a blatant dive  .
